Papaya Playa is located on the beach in Tulum. It's one of the first hotels in Tulum's rustic hotel zone. From Cancun International Airport you can get a transfer to Papaya Playa. Depending on the kind you choose it should take you about an hour and a half. The small town of Tulum is also close by, where you can pick up a few bits and pieces in the boutiques and supermarket or go out for a meal. The Mayan ruins in Tulum are less than three miles from the Papaya Playa, so you simply must take the time to visit them!


There is a small rustic restaurant and bar at Papaya Playa where they serve a good selection of food and drinks, ranging from a quick snack of nachos to the catch of the day.
